Locations

This is Jake and Stuarts house. We filmed Stuarts suicide here and establishing shot of the whole trailer in which we make it clear that Jake and Stuart are brothers. Its a typical working class families house, nothing special highlighting the fact that its realistic so it applies to our social realism genre.

This is the railway in which we shot the killing of one of Jake's friends 'Jimmy'. Again this setting is perfect for social realism films espicially as teenagers are known to hang around dangerous places such as railway lines.

This is Attenborough Nature Reserve which another spot for the murder of one of Jake's Friends, in places it can be desolate, lonely and quiet so it is inf act a perfect place for a murder.

The Voice Over...

This is our voice over that will be spoken over the top of our teaser trailer, it will be read by Jake (Jamie) as he is the protagonist and the majority of the film is from his point of view. The main reason for having a voice over is to direct the narrative, without it the trailer would be a little confusing. The voice over itself is very deep, its Jake expressing his feeling on the tragic loss of his brother due to suicide. He's putting all of his cards on the table so to speak with a full confession of his actions and what he is going to do to get his Redemption.
We used a rhetorical question at the end to involve the audience, from research we have found that direct address is likely to get the audience thinking about the film and indeed how far they would go for redemption!

'He was my brother,
Bullied by me and my friends,
Driven to suicide,
This was never meant to happen,
We didn't know what the consequences would be,
I will avenge his death,
If it's the last thing I do,
So let me ask you this,
How far would you go for redemption?'
